What is the best time of the day to take Centrum Multivitamins?

A:

Take your Centrum multivitamin with water preferably at mealtimes. You may want to take your Centrum multivitamin at a certain time each day to become part of your routine.

Why are Centrum tablets big?

A:

In order to fit such a comprehensive range of vitamins, minerals and trace elements into one tablet inevitably means that the tablet will be of a reasonable size.
A balance has had to be made between including the ingredients in the necessary amounts and maintaining a practical size of tablet.

Q:

Are Centrum multivitamins suitable for vegetarians?

A:

No.
Some of the ingredients are derived from animal products.
It can be difficult to obtain vitamin and mineral preparations, which are guaranteed to be completely vegetarian.

Q:

What is the source of gelatin in Centrum multivitamins?

A:

Several of the vitamins used in the Centrum formulations do contain gelatin, which is derived from Bovine (Cattle) or Porcine (Pigs) sources.
Centrum multivitamins marketed in Europe contain vitamins derived from pig gelatine (pigs are not Halal).
Please note that Centrum multivitamins marketed in the Middle East are specifically formulated to be 100% porcine free, in line with local Middle East Board of Health requirements.

Are Centrum multivitamins halal?

A:

Centrum has a specially formulated range of multivitamins designed for pre-conception, pregnancy and post-birth.

How should I store the product?

A:

Store dry and not above 25°C. Always replace lid after use.

Q:

Some of the ingredient levels are more than the recommended daily allowance (RDA), why is this?

A:

Centrum products are classed as food supplements and are designed to complement a person’s diet.
Having more than 100% of the RDA should not cause any concern, because the levels are safe and do not exceed the recommended Safe Upper Level (SUL) for each vitamin.
Water soluble vitamins - such as the B group vitamins and vitamin C - cannot be stored by the body to any great extent, so if you take in more than your body needs, they are simply excreted.

Q:

Is it harmful to take outdated/expired Centrum?

A:

We recommend that the product not be used after the expiration date.
All our products are assigned an expiration date, which is based upon extensive stability studies. The product is effective until the last day of the month noted on the package.

Do Centrum multivitamins contain fibre?

A:

Centrum multivitamins are currently not formulated to be a source of dietary fibre.

Can children take Centrum multivitamin?

A:

Children aged 4 and up can take Centrum Kids.
Children aged 11 and up can take Centrum Advance and Centrum Fruity Chewables.
Other Centrum multivitamins are formulated for adults only.

A:
